Here is a beautiful FORTIS dress watch from, I believe, the 1960's.
It is in an excellent overall condition!
Gold sunburst dial with a gold "fluted" ring applied, gold dauphine hands, gold plated case (the plating is near perfect), stainless steel back, very clean crystal, date at 3. Antimagnetic and incabloc.
The movement is signed Fortis and based on the Swiss made FHF 72.4 with 21 jewels. It runs and keeps time.
The crown isn't original but is a very nice Longines that goes well with the watch.
The strap is an old Rolex crocodile leather strap. It has a crack in one spot on the top layer as you can see on the picture.
The case measures 35mm without crown, 42mm lug to lug, 8.5mm thick with a 18mm lug width.
The watch is located in, and shipped from, Geneva, Switzerland. Shipping is done through priority mail (Swiss Post) with tracking number. Importation fees are the buyer's responsibility.
The water resistance is not tested. I advice not to wear a vintage watch around water even if it was originally waterproof. I describe the watch as it is now.
